My wife & I are regulars here & everything has been great, EXCEPT for one thing - or should I say person. The manager on Fridays (female) is extremely unprofessional. We have always ordered small breakfast burritos w half chicken half chorizo, it's never been an issue - that is until we were served by the manager on Friday. She stated that the serving size for a small burrito is one single scoop of meat, not two scoops. I stated, I understand so 1/2 a scoop of chicken & 1/2 a scoop of chorizo is equal to 1 scoop. Basic math, right? You would think this wouldn't be an issue. She states "well some people complain that 1/2 a scoop is too little of each meat that's why we don't do that." I tell her just b/c others have complained doesn't mean you should assume we will, plus there's no reason to complain, like I said 1/2 & 1/2 of two meats is exactly equal to 1 scoop of one meat, so I don't see what the issue is. She then says "well it'll be an extra dollar if you want 1/2 & 1/2." I ask her if she is the manager, she proudly proclaims "well yes I am" I say well all other staff do give 1/2 & 1/2 on breakfast burritos no problem, so someone needs to instruct them not to if that's the standard. She says she will do so. She then goes on to state that the big boss (owner) she stated doesnt want her providing customers with 1/2 & 1/2 meat on their breakfast burritos & that those were his specific instructions. By the way she said this it sounded to me like a cop out for bad customer service & a quick excuse to put the blame on someone else on why a simple logical request from a customer could not be granted. Overall, this particular "manager" who works on Friday mornings turned a rather simple request into a debate on proper serving sizes for breakfast burritos & even put the blame on why she was doing so on the owner. We still enjoyed our breakfast burritos as we always do, but my message to the OWNER if you are reading this is: 1. If your policy is no 1/2 & 1/2 meat on small breakfast burritos either ensure all staff are informed & on the same page OR 2. If this isn't true, you need to talk with this particular Friday morning manager about her lack of customer service & explain to her what tactful communication is. She is very offensive & borderline hostile.

Sign up for their birthday email for freebies!! I ordered a chicken burrito and it was delicious! Totally regretted my decision to consume the entire burrito, but it was worth it. Savored every bite. I went with a friend to Qdoba (Cue Dough Bah) because I had an awesome buy one get one free birthday deal!! Once I arrived, I didn't have to wait in line like I always do at Chipotle and got my order taken instantly. Similar to any burrito fast-food joint, their menu was fairly simple with a choice of either Burrito/Quesadillas/Tacos/Nachos, chicken/steak/vegetables/pork/beef, white or brown rice, black or pinto beans, and then your choice of a salsa! Although they have a wide range of salsas ranging from mild to extra hot, I personally like their hot sauce! In addition, you can add their queso diablo for some extra fiery flavor. As an extra plus, because I had signed up for their emails, I also received a one-year anniversary email special for free chips and guacamole. Can you say winna winna chicken dinnaa? :p

Love the food! My husband and I just moved here and it's right down the road from our apartment so he insisted that I try it (I'm a hardcore chipotle fan). It's definitely better than chipotle food wise, but the crew isn't very appealing. No one welcomes you when you walk in and when they do talk to you they always seem preoccupied. I've worked in the food industry since my first job so I know that you're always taught that customers come first and the crew here isn't really showing that.

First time here and was pleasantly surprised. Order taker had very little personality but then again you don't have to to make a good burrito. I got the grilled steak with veggies, generous with the meat, tasty toppings and not as crowded as chipotle. Manager was super nice when he rung me up, bout the same price as chipotle. Atmosphere in dining area is pleasant, open and airy. Plenty of seating without being crowded, tvs showing World Cup which was nice...oh and free wifi. I will definitely come again. Update: Have been twice since my first review....All staff has been courteous and pleasant. Even saved me 5% when I brought my son because they said he was a student and on Wednesdays they give student discounts! Awesome!!!

You've heard of Chinese-American and Italian-American, loosely based on an ethnic cuisine but dumbed down for the masses? Well, I've got to call this Mexican-American. Now, "authentic Mexican" is not really meaningful, as there is a lot of regional variation south of the border, but you can find food that uses the traditional flavors even around here. This isn't anywhere close. I ordered the Anjo Burrito. Can't fault the quantity, it was too big to eat out of hand. The foil wrapping had turned the tortilla to paste, so it was not easy even with knife and fork. The ratio of meat to starches was adequate. The sauce reminded me of supermarket BBQ sauce. Chips crunched at first bite, but then turned to mush like Wonder bread toast. The guacamole was timidly seasoned, but fresh, and it's all that saved the second star. And BTW chips are not included, even with just salsa. Despite having only had coffee for breakfast, I left some food behind. If you must have Mexish food around there, a Chipotle is just up the road. Carrumba, I'd even prefer Taco Bell - at least it doesn't pretend to be anything but what it is.

This is the best Qdoba place i've ever been to. I dont come here for the food, but more for the employees. The employees brighten my day. Of course Qdoba does not have servers but if they did, i would give them a good tip. Their food is good, but the staff is phenomenal! Also another plus is that everyday wednesday it is half off for students! This is my first review because this place deserves my first review. I was compelled to give them a review.

Terrible service and bland food. Ordered a Fajita Ranchera Burrito and was given something else. The employees copped an attitude and were pissed off about having to do it over again even though it was THEIR mistake! And to top it all off the burrito was bland and had absolutely no flavor.

This was my first Qdoba experience and I was pleasantly surprised! Friends had told me that Qdoba's burritos aren't Chipotle caliber, however, and I must concur. That said, my veggie burrito was really tasty; it was as big (or bigger) than its competitors; and the guacamole and veggies were fresh and delicious. The service here was friendly, too, and the restaurant itself was impeccably clean. Although we made it in moments before the lunch time rush, the staff appeared to easily manage the line behind us. A tip: On a nice summer day, take advantage of this Qdoba's three umbrella-covered outdoor tables. Make sure you snag one quickly!

I LOVE how fresh the ingredients are at Qdoba! I can't find quality food like this at any other quick service restaurant! Besides the incredible speedy service, I never feel like I am at a 'fast food' restaurant. The quality of ingredients, friendliness of staff, great service, beautiful and clean environment far surpasses any other! Manny, the manager at this Silver Spring #2691 store is just one of the nicest guys. He treats every customer like a friend with a friendly smile, light conversation, and even walks around to make sure that we are enjoying our meal. You can tell that his passion is in the food he is making and that he has high standards for quality and freshness of ingredients. He cares so much about the customer, the other employees, and this Qdoba restaurant- his enthusiasm shines through to the customer which is one of the reasons that I am so loyal to this Qdoba location. Knowing how much the staff at this location care about the products they are producing makes me, as a customer, feel confident that the food will be prepared to the highest standards resulting in many great meals!

This is strictly on the service. I made an online order because I was in a rush and I still had to wait for my food to be made. On top of that, the cashier did not even know how to read my order and showed me so I could read it to her.

I love Qdoba in general, but this one is exceptional. The food is fresh, the steak isn't burnt, and the chips have salt, unlike some locations. The service is great; nice people working fast and efficiently and with a smile. The place is clean and well stocked. I never have to ask or napkins or straws to be refilled. The long line at lunch is worked quickly and is a testament to how great they are.

There is no way this place can compete with chipotle. If you are here, get back in your car and go around the

Good food. Large portions. Quick service. Low prices. Decent location for lunch if you work at a nearby office. Can be hard to find parking though.

I am not a huge fan of Qdoba but this one just opened up so I decided to give it a try. Not sure if it is because they just opened but here it is... First I noticed how clean the place was and everything was very nicely organized. When I ordered the staff was extremely nice and really informative. They took the time to tell me what was in the stuff I was ordering (example: explained to me what 3 cheeses made their 3 cheese sauce). I asked for steak and they must have given me at least twice as much as your supposed to get. I wasn't able to finish my burrito bowl! As I have always said about Qdoba, their food is kind of bland. I expect a little more kick and taste when it comes to Mexican. I also saw they do breakfast as well. Hands down this was the best Qdoba experience I have ever had. I will go back and make sure it wasn't a grand opening "fluke".

I feel like the food has to be pretty inedible to give just one star so this place gets two- mainly due to service. First off, the woman taking our order completely disregarded what we actually ordered and decided what we should eat for herself. When we questioned her she said we could not order a steak burrito with the cheese sauce. Not sure why since the ingredients were present and that is a specific menu item. It wouldn't have been such a big deal if she told us before serving up her concoction. Besides the service, some of the rice was not cooked, the steak was cold, and one of the burrito bowls was swimming in sauce. I really love Qdoba but I will steer clear of this location one on the future.

The staff here are extremely RUDE! They do not have respect and have horrible attitudes . The food Is not that great either, the only reason I would go here is for student night when everything isn%50 off. I'll stick to chipotle where I have quality and quantity.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
